Exterior wood color is gray. Core wood color varies between yellow and reddish brown depending on the type. The color revealed at the time of cutting darkens to a certain extent in time with exposure to atmosphere. It is a tree with dense structure and little flexibility. It allows easy and clean processing. It has low absorbance and low cracking characteristics. It has a very grained structure. Hence, it is very suitable for painting and responds well to varnish. It has a very good resistance even in changing weather conditions. It has good drying characteristics. It is not easily harmed by bugs and microorganisms. They offer good results in turning and carving. Average specific weight is 750 kg/m3.
